Is anything really free?  Is there some small print?

Well, yes, and yes!  At www.leviguitars.com we think these Sfarzo strings are truly exceptional strings for the money.  Both the electric and acoustic 6 string sets normally sell for $6.00 a set, and we'll say they are the best strings out there in this price range.  But EVERYBODY says theirs are the best.  So, we'll put our money where our mouth is...we will send you a FREE set of strings to try (even the shipping is free!)...limit 1 set to a person (please don't try to take advantage of this and send multiple addresses....we're a small company, and we'll play fair both ways...:-).......).

If you haven't check us out recently, you'll notice our website at www.leviguitars.com has gone through some changes.  We've added e-commerce so you can purchase directly off the site, and we are now carrying Sfarzo strings.

We are also in the process of building our accessories line.  You'll shortly find a selection of Kent Armstrong pickups there (we already have the pickups listed there that match the ones coming stock in our Levi guitars - very reasonably priced pickups, and decent sounding), Kluson and Grover tuners, and more - Coming soon!

Had a visit last Saturday from Terri Breeze, who runs a website called Bass-Aholic - http://bass-aholic.com/ 

Quite an interesting website she has there.  Terri is an avid bass player, and from what I could see, a pretty darn good one at that (and not "for a girl" as she says on her site...she is a pretty solid player in her own right).  If you are a bass player, she has more info on her site than you can shake a stick at.  She is currently on a mission to play and report on 101 basses in 2 years, so lots of neat and odd basses there to review. Also, lots of other information on neat music stores, etc.  So go check it out!

We also have another shipment of acoustics arriving in a few weeks - will get pictures of these up as soon as we can.  We're pretty excited about these - they are a premium product, and we'll have one model just under $400 of which the sample sold right away, and another hand built one with a solid rosewood arched back for just under $1000, and that one truly sounds amazing...compares with some major brand names that are also being made offshore and selling for a LOT higher.  More on these soon!

Have heard from some that our website www.leviguitars.com is ugly.  OK, we'll concede that...I'm a musician, not a web designer!  So should I invest in hiring somebody to write a prettier site, or put it into the instruments?  Chose the latter for now....hopefully in the near future we can come up with a webpage that is a bit more appealing. If anybody out there has some web design experience and wants to help out, I'm open...:-)  Maybe we can work a deal on a guitar!

Well, we've had these guitars for just over a month now, and starting to get some great feedback.  The biggest surprise, again, is the least expensive one, the DD59-A, which is a Strat style guitar.  Not only is it well put together, it simply has an amazing sound.  Have a couple of stores in Vancouver we consigned some to, and both commented on the sound of this instrument.  One store in particuliar we left it with them to try, and the owner phoned and left a message that they were not interested, they already had too many Strat copies.  Then he picked it up, plugged it in, and played it.  Another message, 15 minutes later...."Yea, let's try one of these!"  So there you go...check them out at www.leviguitars.com

We've also had some great feedback on the BR82-A semi-hollow body.  They just simply sound and look great.  The flame maple bodies are really striking, and we have had several comments that they are quite a bit better than others in this price range.

Just updated our website again tonight! www.leviguitars.com  Lots more pictures, now have pricing on all the guitars, and have updated the FAQ page.  Have been working through the instruments themselves...each one we change the strings to D'Adarrio XL 10 -  46 on the electrics and D'Addario XL strings on the basses as well.  We also set the nut heights down to where they should be, adjust the neck tension, adjust the bridge, and do a quick set on the intonation.  Just set up Candy Apple DD59-A (Strat type) last night...plugged it in, and it played as good as it looked...love that 3 single pickup sound...  The finishes on these guitars are beautiful...beyond what we had expected.  If you are in the Greater Vancouver area and would like to see any, you can contact us via our contact page on our website to arrange an appointment....we have agents both in PoCo and Vancouver at this time.

Just updated our site again - www.leviguitars.com.  Most instruments now show pricing, and we have several ready to go.  Each electric guitar is inspected and set up with D'Addario XL strings.  We also adjust the nut heights, make sure the neck is straightened, set the bridge height, and do a basic setup for the intonation.  You may wish to further fine tune your instrument further, but you will not be disappointed with these right out of the case.  You will also find the pricing very attractive.  These are inexpensive guitars, but not "cheap" guitars.....you would expect to pay more for what you will find here.  And yes, we will have more pictures coming soon!

The guitars are here! Will have pricing up on the website shortly - (www.leviguitars.com). Just in that final stage of  "set up in Canada." Yes, we will be checking each guitar so they are playable right out of the box. You may want to personalize your final setup, but none of this nonsense with so many import guitars with nuts way to high, neck tension never checked, crappy factory strings, etc! I have been playing an early 90's USA Fender Strat for years with Lace Sensor pickups. Yea, some of you love em, some hate  those pickups, but they have been quite popular.  I've always liked them.  But when I plugged in my original sample Levi DD59-A (the strat style) I didn't expect to get that great original strat sound.  That was one of the things that hooked me on these instruments.  Once I had it set up, it was a serious rival to my original Strat that cost several times more.  No, I'm not going to sell the Fender just yet...after all, it is the "real deal," but if I didn't already own it, I'm not sure I would spring for it now after playing this other.  I guess this one meets our target....a really decent instrument for the price, a great backup instrument for the working musician (or maybe even a main ax if brand name isn't too big a deal), or a much better than average student guitar.  And it even comes with a hard shell case!

Just started setting up our new website - check us out at www.leviguitars.com  We have inventory arriving in approx. a week (middle of July).  Yes, the guitars are made in China (woodwork all done on C&C machines...the craftsmanship is amazing), most have pickups made in South Korea (superior sound to the factory stock pickus), & upgraded well beyond the factory specs (upgraded necks, bone nuts, upgraded tuners, high quality strings), with final setup done here in Canada.  And yes, each guitar comes with a hardshell case!  More details coming soon!
